Lights, Camera, Action

Although the subject of this Blog is sounds like its a movie production, my thrust is to relate it to real estate (of course, LOL) and life, actually. This was prompted by working with Buyers, that have not yet talked with a mortgage officer.

Ironically this has happened to other Realtors- NO…….? you say? Yes, it’s true! I say this laughingly, as I saw a post on FB the other day from a Realtor, indicating just this.

Everything we do in life should have methodical steps to it, including real estate purchases. The “lights” should be evaluation of a Buyers current situation, the “camera” should be talking with a financial institution to determine affordability, and the “action” should be beginning the process of viewing homes.

This process assists the potential Buyer in a couple of ways- it avoids the unfortunate situation of viewing a home, and loving it only then realizing that it is not affordable. Another scenario, seeing what financial programs are available as there are several. Lastly, if the credit score isn’t up to snuff, the mortgage person can suggest steps to get it to where it needs to be.

Happy Hunting! Going to be a great year!  🙂
