Seller’s expenses in selling a home

OK, so Mr./Mrs. Seller decides that he/she needs or wants to sell their residence. Obviously, one of  the important, if not THE important, segments of selling is the bottom line that a Seller will end up with. This is one of the reasons a person in this position should be consulting with a Realtor, to get the facts of the mathematics. Basically, the expenses involved are an Attorney fee, Real Estate commission,(% of selling price) Conveyance tax ( tax liable to the town and state, due when selling a property) , and possibly credits due depending on the area of the transaction. Other credits may include a Seller’s concession to the Buyer on Inspection issues, Closing costs, and other possibilities on a negotiated contract for purchase.
